Fiona Richardson is a cancer biologist who directs a research laboratory at an academic oncology center in Roswell, New Mexico. For 11 years, she has investigated cellular signaling pathways, studying how specific genetic mutations alter tumor growth and influence response to targeted pharmaceuticals and immunotherapy. Richardson graduated from Yale University with a doctorate in cancer biology after undergraduate studies in biochemistry. She carried out post-doctoral translational research on targeted oncogenic pathways, and on weekends she volunteers as a judge for regional student science fairs.
