Scott Farrell, MD, is a heart rhythm specialist at an academic arrhythmia center. He directs a pacemaker and defibrillator clinic where he evaluates patients experiencing persistent atrial and ventricular arrhythmias. After studying biology as an undergraduate, he finished his medical degree and trained in internal medicine before subspecializing in clinical cardiac electrophysiology. Farrell instructs cardiology fellows on interpreting intracardiac electrograms and device tracings during catheter procedures. His academic investigations examine procedural safety standards and patient outcomes associated with radiofrequency ablation techniques. In hospital practice, he oversees device programming, leads clinical teaching rounds, and coordinates follow-up care for individuals with recurrent rhythm disorders.
