A University of Central Missouri nursing graduate, Rebecca Fischer, RN, CCRN, has spent 13 years in clinical practice. In her current role at an outpatient traumatic brain injury clinic, she coordinates patient care, assisting survivors and their families with the logistical planning needed to return to work and school. That work follows five years spent as an emergency department staff nurse. Fischer also writes on concussion and head trauma recovery for Biology Insights.
