At an academic fertility centre in Quebec City, Quebec, Rachel Kim, MD, treats patients and investigates uterine factors that influence early embryo implantation. She completed her MD at Queen’s University after earning a BSc in biochemistry, and has practised reproductive endocrinology for 21 years. Over two decades, Kim has overseen clinical assisted reproduction protocols and performed in-vitro fertilization procedures. Her laboratory research focuses on cellular signalling at the maternal-fetal interface, examining endometrial receptivity markers to better understand why certain transfers fail to result in viable pregnancies.
