Lauren Lowell designs early drug trials at a contract research organization in Wilmington, Delaware. Working as a preclinical pharmacology scientist, she sets up in vitro and rodent studies for pharmaceutical developers, with a focus on receptor interactions and cellular responses. Lowell received a bachelor’s in pharmacology and an MS in pharmacology from the University of Montana. Her projects examine how novel chemical candidates bind to biological targets before clinical trials.
