Despina Galanis, PA-C, treats critically ill patients in a cardiac intensive care unit. She previously cared for post-operative patients in a surgical ICU before shifting her clinical practice to acute cardiovascular medicine. In her current unit, Galanis manages bedside emergencies and routinely instructs newer clinical staff on interpreting arterial blood gases and hemodynamic waveforms.
