Shannon Nowak, RN, is a staff nurse at a hospital outpatient infectious disease clinic. In this role, she coordinates patient appointments, assists physicians with diagnostic workups, and helps patients manage ongoing antimicrobial therapies. Before attending nursing school, she worked as a microbiology bench technologist, processing clinical cultures and evaluating diagnostic laboratory specimens. Nowak earned her bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Central Florida.
