He holds an FCC Amateur Extra Class License, constructs custom transceivers, and volunteers with local emergency communication networks. Kumar previously assembled printed circuit boards and handled technical support for an industrial parts supplier. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and continues building kit radios in his spare time.
