Heather Baxter is a professor of cell biology at a research university in Rochester, Minnesota. She directs a laboratory investigating signal transduction pathways, examining how cellular receptors receive and transmit biochemical signals under physiological and diseased conditions. In addition to supervising doctoral candidates and postdoctoral fellows in laboratory experiments, Baxter teaches the graduate cell signaling course in the biomedical sciences department. She earned her undergraduate degree and a doctorate in cell biology, concentrating her academic pursuits on receptor regulation and molecular response mechanisms within human tissues.
