Natural Predators of Raccoons

Among mammalian predators, coyotes frequently hunt raccoons, particularly at night, leveraging their keen senses. Raccoons also utilize vocalizations as a warning, including hissing, growling, shrieking, and barking, often coupled with aggressive body language. They may attempt to appear larger by arching their back, raising their fur, and thrashing their tail to intimidate potential threats.
