Some Octopus wolfi individuals are semi-transparent, and males possess unique hair-like projections on their suckers. This species inhabits the warm, shallow waters of the Indo-Pacific Ocean, ranging from the Red Sea to Tahiti. They are often found in coral reefs and sandy seafloors at depths typically above 30 meters. Octopus wolfi was first scientifically discovered and classified in 1913.
