Complete the entire course of treatment as prescribed, even if your symptoms improve quickly, to prevent the infection from returning or becoming resistant to the medication. Store the ointment in its closed container at room temperature, away from excessive heat, moisture, and direct light, and do not freeze it.

Moxifloxacin eye ointment can cause some side effects. Common temporary side effects include blurred vision, eye irritation, itching, redness, mild discomfort, or dry eyes. These reactions are usually mild and subside as your body adjusts to the medication.
