Training programs for fishers on the use of bycatch reduction devices and the importance of turtle conservation can foster responsibility and awareness. Real-time monitoring systems, such as electronic logbooks and onboard cameras, can provide valuable data to refine bycatch mitigation strategies.

Habitat Destruction

The degradation and loss of habitats present a challenge to turtle survival. Coastal development, driven by urban expansion and tourism, often obliterates the nesting grounds necessary for turtle reproduction.
