Therizinosaurus was a herbivore. Its appearance, particularly its extraordinarily long claws, often leads people to assume it was a formidable predator. Despite their fearsome look, the creature was a peaceful plant-eater. Its body structure also points to a plant-based diet. It possessed a wide and deep torso, housing a large digestive tract.
