Instead, a wedge cushion or a rolled-up towel placed under the thighs can help elevate the legs slightly, which can reduce pressure on the perianal region.

Managing the duration of sitting is important. Taking regular breaks to stand or walk, ideally every hour, can significantly reduce the continuous pressure on the rectal veins.
