This perennial plant, a member of the mint family, is typically grown outdoors, but it adapts well to indoor container cultivation. Starting lemon balm from seed indoors allows a gardener to get a head start on the growing season or maintain a fresh supply of leaves year-round. The process requires attention to specific environmental needs, especially light and moisture, to ensure successful germination and healthy growth.
Essential Materials and Environment Setup
Successful indoor cultivation requires selecting the proper materials and creating a controlled environment.
