This involves placing the pot in a tray of water and allowing the soil to wick moisture up through the drainage holes until the top layer of soil becomes slightly moist. Whether watering from the top or the bottom, the requirement remains the same: complete saturation followed by complete drainage.

The speed at which a begonia’s soil dries out, dictating the watering frequency, is affected by its immediate environment.
