They also enter in pursuit of food. As predators, spiders are attracted by insects like flies, mosquitoes, or ants. Prey insects drawn indoors by lights or warmth lure spiders inside. Spiders may also come indoors during mating season, with males actively searching for females. They can enter through small gaps around windows, doors, or cracks in foundations.
What Keeps a Spider in Your Room
Once a spider enters a room, several factors encourage its stay. Consistent temperature and humidity levels are highly favorable, as spiders are sensitive to environmental fluctuations. They seek stable conditions, minimizing water loss and supporting their metabolic needs.

Spiders also require access to water, which they can obtain from tiny droplets, condensation, or even through their prey. Typical Durations of a Spider’s Stay
