Seahorses are unique marine creatures known for their distinctive appearance and unusual behaviors. Unlike most fish, they swim upright and possess a horse-like head, prehensile tail, and bodies covered in bony plates instead of scales. Another large species, the Pacific seahorse (Hippocampus ingens), can reach up to 30 to 36 centimeters in length, with typical adults measuring between 12 and 19 centimeters.
