This approach leverages the insecticide’s slow-acting nature, allowing foraging ants to transport the bait back to the nest and initiate the transfer effect.

Liquid sprays containing imidacloprid serve a different purpose. They are used to create a protective barrier around the perimeter of a home or structure. When applied to foundations, lawns, or ornamental plants, the liquid can kill ants on contact or after it dries.
