The increased flow rapidly washes away food debris and sugars from the tooth surfaces, reducing the fuel source for acid-producing bacteria. Choosing the Best Cheeses for Oral Health
To maximize dental health advantages, consumers should focus on natural, hard, and aged varieties. Cheeses like Cheddar, Swiss, Monterey Jack, and Gouda are effective because of their high mineral content and firm texture, which encourages saliva production.
