For blonde individuals, their eyelashes often contain very low amounts of melanin, mirroring the low pigment levels found in their scalp hair. This reduced melanin concentration causes the eyelashes to appear very light, ranging from pale blonde to almost transparent. Consequently, they may seem less visible or “blonde” in appearance, especially without the enhancement of cosmetics.
