These signs include swelling of the lips, tongue, or throat, dizziness, or difficulty breathing, which may signal anaphylaxis. The culprits are often non-active ingredients, such as artificial colors, dyes, or artificial sweeteners like sucralose or aspartame. Fillers and certain herbal extracts can also trigger an immunological response in sensitive individuals.

Users who experience bothersome skin sensations have several strategies to mitigate the effects without discontinuing their supplement use. Since Beta-Alanine’s tingling is dose-dependent, reducing the serving size is the most direct approach to lessen the intensity of the feeling. Splitting the full dose into two smaller amounts taken 15 to 30 minutes apart can also smooth out the absorption rate and minimize the sudden nerve stimulation.
