Tree kangaroos are unique marsupials adapted to life in trees, primarily inhabiting the rainforests of New Guinea, Indonesia, and northeastern Australia. They are distinguished from ground-dwelling kangaroos by stronger forelimbs, shorter hindlimbs, and a long tail, all adaptations for an arboreal existence. This area protects against logging, mining, and overhunting.
