Storing and applying hydrogen peroxide in opaque containers or environments with minimal light exposure can help preserve its integrity and effectiveness.

Resistance Mechanisms

E. coli possesses adaptive strategies to mitigate the effects of hydrogen peroxide. One mechanism is the upregulation of catalase and peroxidase enzymes, which decompose hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen.
