Phalaenopsis orchids are favored by beginners due to their forgiving nature and long-lasting blooms. Light Requirements
Most orchids thrive in bright, indirect light, mimicking the dappled sunlight of their natural environment. An east-facing window is ideal, providing gentle morning sun. South-facing windows require diffused light, as direct afternoon sun can scorch leaves. North-facing windows usually offer insufficient light for most varieties.
Signs of incorrect light exposure appear on the leaves. Dark green leaves suggest insufficient light, hindering blooming. Watering Practices

Room-temperature water is preferable; distilled or rainwater can be used, but softened tap water should be avoided.
Humidity and Temperature
