Typical Nesting Frequency
American Robins typically raise multiple broods within a single breeding season, which spans from early spring (April) through July. A pair commonly produces two to three successful broods annually, sometimes attempting a fourth under ideal conditions. Their long breeding season and efficient parental care support these multiple nesting attempts. The male often feeds fledglings from an earlier brood while the female constructs a new nest and lays eggs for the next clutch. The Nesting Cycle Timeline
