During use, waste enters the toilet bowl.
After use, the flushing mechanism is activated, typically by pressing a button or operating a lever. This action releases water from the flush tank into the bowl, rinsing it clean, and simultaneously opens the slide valve, allowing the waste to pass into the sealed holding tank below. Once the waste is in the holding tank, the slide valve is closed, effectively sealing the contents.
