This involves regular cleaning to eliminate crumbs and spills, storing food in sealed containers, and addressing other pest issues. Minimizing moisture by using dehumidifiers in damp areas and ensuring proper ventilation can make your home less appealing. While spiders are not directly attracted to light, bright outdoor lighting can draw in insects, which in turn attracts spiders seeking a meal. Switching to yellow or amber “bug lights,” or using motion-activated lighting, can indirectly help reduce spider presence by limiting their food supply.
